VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

                             

Student Awareness Forum (BIJAM), working in Bara Parsa & Makwanpur districts to combat HIV and AIDS and drug related issue is seeking appropriately experienced, dynamic, innovative and well-motivated Nepalese citizens for the following position. 1.  Post: CHBC Team Leader     Station: Birgunj Parsa     Required No: 1 (one)

     Required and Preferred qualifications experience & values:

PCL in general medicine (HA)/ I.Sc. Nursing + 1 year experience or Bachelor degree in any disciplined subject with 2 years experience in related field.  ResponsibilitiesThe incumbent is responsible for:1.   Lead the team for providing standard Community Home-based care to PLHA clients. 2     Maintain and work out cross referral relationship. 3.    Demonstrate supportive supervision & feedback to CHBC team.4.    Follow the Home visit steps as per SOP.5.   Arrange meetings to plan team visit.6.    Assist in performing different official tasks and preparing different reports.Other Requirements

  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English & Nepali.  Bhojpuri will be an asset
  • Ability to work with team and other NGOs
  • Must be willing to travel for home visit.
  • Good Computer skills in MS Office package

 Experience of working in  NGO and CBOs (Priority will be given to a person with different ability ( Disable), local female or PLHA with relevant work experience, qualification and knowledge)  2.  Post: Outreach Worker      Station: Birgunj, Parsa district     Required No: 1 (one) Required and Preferred qualifications experience & values: Certificate level in any disciplined subject or SLC passed with CMA course. At least 12 months experience in HIV & AIDS related field.  ResponsibilitiesThe incumbent is responsible for:1.    Involve in Outreach and follow up to the target group within designated working area and provide counseling services as per project procedures to target group. Conduct home visit for PLHA who request CHBC service.2.    Provide follow up support on time to the clients and work very closely with the local PLHA support group/organization.3.   Conduct training/event in field level. 4.   Supervise, monitor PEs activities, collect report and reflect in monthly and quarterly report. 5.   Attend regular team meeting to plan weekly schedule.6.   Identify STI patients and provide technical support or referral service. 7.   Assist in performing different official tasks and preparing different reports.Other Requirements

  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills in Nepali but Bhojpuri will be an asset
  • Ability to work with team and other NGOs
  • Must be willing to travel for home visit.

Post: Admin./Finance Assistant      Station: Birgunj     Required No: 1 (one)     Required and Preferred qualifications experience & values: Certificate level in management/Commerce + 1 yr experience in related field.  ResponsibilitiesThe incumbent is responsible for:

  1. To oversee financial transactions occurred during a project period and perform general office administrative functions.
  2. Maintaining accurate financial record and advice on financial or accounting issues involving activities to ensure proper compliance with laws and accounting practices.
  3. Preparation of consolidated financial statements
  4. Supervision of Maintenance of books of accounts and finalization of the accounts
  5. Preparation of the quarterly and annual financial results of the project
  6. Assist in performing different official tasks and preparing different reports.

 Other Requirements

  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English and Nepali Languages but Bhojpuri will be an asset
  • Good Computer skills in MS Office package
  • Ability to work independently on several tasks with minimum supervision
